I was sure I had already replied to this, but apparently not.
Yeah, having no CPM is a let down for sure. It does have CPS so you can calculate CPM from it but that is a pain. They should have included CPM along with CPS. Nope, you get absolutely no live data from the serial interface at all. You need to purchase the 'online' model for that feature.
The battery is easily replaced by someone competent in using a soldering iron. It is nothing more than taking the PCB out of the case, desoldering the old battery and soldering a new one in.
Farnell in the UK sell a suitable replacement
for about £11 + VAT so I certainly won't be sending mine back to Germany for replacement.
